40th High School Class Reunion

How else but by Fb to get the ball rolling for our 40th Class Reunion! After the planning meetings, there was such a flurry of activity with messenger alerts that my family got use to all the chimes coming from my phone and eventually didn't even inquire  about the messages. They just rolled their eyes and said "reunion" :-)

A few meetings and months later, reunion time was here. A float for us to ride on at the Milford Fun Days needed to be decorated along with the Fire Station for the reunion dinner. This group worked so fast and efficiently, one would think they saw each other all the time!

Float

Plenty of laughter and good times were had.

Theme of float- 'Under Construction'

Finished and ready to be filled with classmates :-)

Being silly  ( Bryan B, Paul L, and Kenny L, also worked on the float, but not pictured)

Reunion Day:
Parade
As classmates arrive there is no shortage of hugs! In the following pics Denise has arrived with smiles and hugs......take this times  around 28 (?) more people and I was definitely not hug deprived this day :-)

Visiting until parade begins.

That sun was a scorcher!!! Putting my float costume to use......and side hug in background  :-)  (Anita's pic)

High School Tour

I will need to come back and get more pics of the outside.

Gymnasium, the gathering place after lunch. Kind of reminds me of the kitchen in a house; the hub for social interaction.

Yep, those steps are as steep as I remembered them being!!

Library

Card catalogs still being used in this digital age?!

Math room right by the entrance to the library

Dad's math room ....I had a seat about where I am taking this pic from :-) I also appreciated all the kind words/memories people shared with me about Dad!!

Girl's upstairs restroom.....haven't changed a thing, the mirrors are still too high for me :-)

Still have the cool tiles

and I didn't remember these cute glass stall door pulls!

Bannister

well worn by the many students that have passed thru .

Nola shared her memories of home ec with me....making  cream of wheat cereal with raisins :-) Beautiful wooden cabinet now in the old home ec room.

Back in the gymnasium

PE was one of my favorite classes and I wanted to see the dressing room under the bleachers.

It is now a storage room...in the corner behind that green trash can was where the showers were located.

uniforms hanging where the bench was for changing.

Looking out from locker room towards stage.
I don't remember murals on the walls when we were attending school. I like the change/additions!!! Here are a few of them:

Outdoor relaxing at Tony's and Joy's place.
Peaceful

The slideshow Tony put together was enjoyed by everyone :-)
Dinner at the Fire Station:
